I'm Cameron.

THE BEGINNING

I grew up in the small town of Beaumont, Texas. I began pursuing dance intensively at iRule Dance Studio under the direction of Charlee Hanna-Rule and Kelli Barclay. I worked with incredible guest choreographers in their pre-professional company, training in a variety of different genres.

THE SPARK

After many exciting short trips to New York City with my family for Broadway shows and drop-in dance classes, I spent three weeks (under the trusted supervision of my older sister) in the city for Broadway Dance Center's Junior Training Program in the summer of 2016. As this was the final summer before my senior year of high school, I was ecstatic to be accepted into BDC's Professional Semester at the conclusion of the program.

COLLEGE

After weighing my options, I made the decision to attend college for something completely outside of the arts - finance. My time in college helped me develop new skills, connect with new communities, and discover my identity outside of my artistic craft. Some of my most treasured college memories include volunteer tax filing in the local Austin community, standing on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for the opening bell, watching The Bachelor on Monday nights at my sorority's house, and accidentally tripping in front of Matthew McConaughey in the UT film building. I proudly graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Radio-Television-Film. (Ask me about my college essays on blockchain, David Lynch, and the film noir femme fatale!) While living in Austin, I also rekindled my love for playing music, picking up a guitar and never looking back!

THE BIG MOVE

After my 21st birthday, college graduation, and the onset of a life-changing pandemic, I felt the hunger to return to my love of performing. I felt that I was finally ready, mentally and physically, to train in BDC's Professional Semester. In August 2021, I arrived in New York City with four suitcases and some pretty big dreams. Soon after, I met my incredible team at Clear Talent Group NY. Every day I am still exploring personal expression through a variety of different mediums and feel so lucky to live in the ultimate city to do so.
